IU to release Pre-Debut album in December
Popular Korean singer IU will be releasing her album “IU” through EMI Music Japan on December 7th.
Currently, IU is an 18 year old high school girl who recorded songs such as “Nagging” with 2AM’s Seulong and her lead number “Good Day” from her mini album last year, which became a huge hit in Korea. With her superb vocal skills and cute performances, Korea proudly calls her the “Nation’s Little Sister”. Furthermore, you may also know IU as a member of the main cast of the drama “Dream High”, where she performed with Miss A’s Suzy, 2PM’s Taecyeon and Wooyoung, and T-ARA’s Eunjung. Currently, the K-POP movement in Japan is all about the dance and performance groups, but with IU’s arrival it looks like she will change things up a bit.
“I□U” will be released before her full-blown Japan debut and will introduce people to the songs of her career. The album will include six Korean songs, including the aforementioned “Good Day”. The album will also include an original documentary film DVD “ALL ABOUT IU”, which will show the history of IU until now. In addition to that, the First Press edition will include a lottery ticket to possibly receive an invitation to “IU-JAPAN PREMIUM SPECIAL LIVE-”. Details on that event will be revealed at a later date.
